This was my first-place winning entry in a little fanart contest thingy... It's kind of wierd, because my younger sister entered too and got second place, even though I was sure
 was going to get at least second, because she worked so hard on hers and she actually knows how to shade without ruining her pictures...Don't get me wrong, I never draw manga-style. (Unless it involves PRIZE MUNNIES.) Kisuke Urahara; Bleach; Tite Kubo. Done entirely in Prismacolors and my trusty mechanical pencil. The hatching texture took DAYS. I had to sharpen my pencils every five seconds. |

I love the expressions. They're fan-freaking-tastic. And the hair! And the way the colors are devided up into their own areas... Quite nice indeed.

I really enjoy the use of colors you put towards this, and how you used the cross-hatching, it really worked to your advantage. I've done that in a few of my drawings and lord is it time-consuming, so kudos for your unwavering patience. You got his expressions down perfectly, and I'm especially fond of the little red guy off to the left.
